This Privacy Policy explains how Daily Page LLC, a Utah limited liability company (“The Daily Page,” “we,” “us,” the “Service”), available at thedailypageai.com, collects, uses, and protects your information. The Service is intended for users in the United States who are 18 or older. By using the Service you agree to the practices described here.

Please note: your journal entries, tasks, and messages to the coach may reveal personal and sensitive details — for example about your health, mood, beliefs, relationships, or finances. We treat this information with care, as described below, and we ask for your consent at signup before processing it.

1. Information we collect

We collect only what the Service needs to function as a daily planner and AI coaching tool:

Account information: your email address, used for sign-in via a one-time code. We do not ask for or store your date of birth; you confirm you are 18 or older by checking a box at signup.
Planner content: your mission statement, tasks, projects, habits, and habit logs.
Journal content: the daily reflections and journal entries you write.
Coach content: the messages you exchange with the AI coach.
Usage data: basic information needed to operate the Service, such as plan tier and trial status.
Consent records: the fact, date, and version of the terms you accepted at signup, including your confirmation that you are 18 or older.

We do not collect or store your payment card details. Card information is handled entirely by Stripe (see below). We do not use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.

2. How we use your information

To provide the planner, store your data, and sync it across your devices.
To generate AI coaching replies and your nightly recap.
To send service emails about your trial, account, and subscription.
To process payments and manage your subscription.
To maintain security, prevent misuse, and comply with law.

We do not use your content to serve advertising.

3. AI processing of your content

To provide coaching and recaps, the content you write — including your planner entries and your journal reflections — is sent to an external AI provider (Anthropic, the maker of Claude) to generate responses. This means your journal and planner text leaves our systems and is processed by Anthropic, as our service provider, for the sole purpose of producing your coaching replies and recaps. Anthropic does not use content submitted through its commercial API to train its models. We do not use your content to train AI models, and we do not sell it.

4. Service providers we share data with

We rely on a small set of trusted providers to run the Service. Each receives only the data needed for its function, under contracts limiting their use of it:

Supabase — secure storage of your account and planner data, and authentication.
Anthropic (Claude) — processes your planner and journal content to generate coaching replies and recaps.
Resend — delivers service and lifecycle emails (e.g., trial reminders).
Stripe — processes payments and handles all card details directly; we never see or store your full card number.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of users or the public; and in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

We do not sell your personal information, we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not use advertising or marketing analytics SDKs that transmit your content or identifiers to third parties for their own use.

5. Sensitive and health-related information

Because journaling and coaching can reveal sensitive information — including information that may relate to your mental or physical health — we:

ask for your affirmative consent at signup before processing this content;
use it only to provide the Service to you;
do not sell it or share it for advertising; and
apply the security measures in Section 8.

We are not a healthcare provider, the Service is not medical or mental-health treatment, and the Service is not subject to HIPAA. If you are a resident of a state with a consumer health-data law (such as Washington or Nevada), additional rights may apply, and you may contact us to exercise them.

6. Data retention and deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time. When you delete your account, your data is removed from active systems and is fully purged from backups within 90 days, unless a longer period is required by law or to resolve disputes.

7. Your rights

Regardless of where you live, you may:

Access the personal data we hold about you.
Correct inaccurate information.
Delete your account and associated content.
Export a copy of your journal and planner content.
Withdraw consent to sensitive-data processing — note that the coach cannot function without processing your content, so withdrawing consent may mean closing your account.

Depending on where you live (including under GDPR and CCPA), you may have additional rights. We do not sell your personal data, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. To exercise any of these rights, use the in-app controls or email us at coach@thedailypageai.com.

8. Security

We use reputable infrastructure providers and reasonable safeguards to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affecting your information occurs, we will notify you and the authorities as required by law.

9. Data location

The Service and our providers operate in the United States, and your information is processed there.

10. Age requirement

The Service is for adults 18 and older. We use a date-of-birth age gate at signup and do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has provided us information, contact coach@thedailypageai.com and we will delete it and close the account.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above, and where reasonable we will give notice by email or in-app.
